We were asked to read three stories, Teach Writing as a Process Not a Product by Don Murray, The Daily Writing Routine of Great Writers by Maria Popova, and Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life by Anne Lamott and pick three quotes from each. This blog post will contain those nine quotes as well as three personal quotes about our own writing process. Teach Writing as a Process Not a Product by Don Murray

Thank you for sharing these quotes. As a collage, I see themes about the pressures/motivations/needs to write and connect with yourself and other -- especially when I read your three personal quotes about the writing process. I look forward to talking more about your writing processes...

I can relate to your Anne Lamott quote “Here you’ve done this incredibly gutsy thing, shown someone your very heart and soul, and he doesn’t think it’s any good.” This is one of my biggest fears of writing and relationships.

Your theme goes a lot with who you are, and I feel like through your quotes say a lot as well.
